Bob Gysin

Bob Gysin is the founder of Bob Gysin Partner BGP Architekten in Zurich, which today has 50 employees. As Chairman of the Board of Directors, he is involved in the architectural discourse as well as in strategy developments for sustainability. Since its foundation, the architecture firm has stood for future-oriented architecture and is one of the pioneers in sustainable building on the European architectural scene. Bob Gysin founded a gallery for avant-garde art in 1971 — even before the architectural office opened in 1976. The focus is on promoting young professional artists. In addition to lectures, jury and expert activities and the Energy Salon, publications such as “Living at Every Age” and “Sustainable Thinking in Architecture and Art” document the claim to combine social commitment and cultural relevance. BGP has been awarded numerous national and international architecture prizes.
