Dr Adina Rom leads the ETH for Devel­op­ment (ETH4D) initia­tive and is a devel­op­ment econ­o­mist at the Center for Devel­op­ment and Coop­er­a­tion (NADEL) at ETH Zurich. She is also the founder of the ETH spin-off Policy Analytics, which helps organ­i­sa­tions strengthen their learning culture and how to measure and under­stand social and envi­ron­mental impact. Previ­ously, she studied public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and completed her PhD at ETHZ. She has been respon­sible for imple­menting numerous impact studies with Inno­va­tion for Poverty Action (IPA) in Kenya and the Center for Effec­tive Global Action (CEGA) at the Univer­sity of Cali­fornia Berkeley. She has advised various NGOs and social enter­prises as well as the Swiss Agency for Devel­op­ment and Coop­er­a­tion (SDC). She has also led train­ings on impact assess­ment for the World Bank and for the Poverty Action Lab at the Mass­a­chu­setts Insti­tute for Tech­nology (MIT). Adina also serves on the boards of TamTam Africa and SOS Medit­er­anée.
