Marie Glaser

Dr. Phil. Marie Glaser has been Head of Housing and Real Estate Funda­men­tals at the Swiss Federal Office of Housing BWO (Bunde­samt für Wohnungswesen) since 2022. Prior to that, she directed the ETH Wohn­forum — ETH CASE Centre for Research on Archi­tec­ture, Society and the & built Envi­ron­ment at the Depart­ment of Archi­tec­ture at ETH. She studied Euro­pean Cultural Anthro­pology and Liter­a­ture in Munich, Wash­ington D.C. and Vienna and is trained in inter- and trans­dis­ci­pli­nary research collab­o­ra­tion and museum studies. From 1999 to 2004, she worked at the IFF Faculty for Inter­dis­ci­pli­nary Research and Higher Educa­tion in Vienna and as co-director of the Master’s Program in Inter­dis­ci­pli­nary Research and Science Commu­ni­ca­tion at the Univer­sity of Vienna. In 2004, she joined ETH CASE Zurich as a researcher and post­doc­toral fellow. Together with Prof. Dietmar Eberle, she directed the Master of Advanced Studies MAS ETH Housing program from 2007 to 2015. Her research, publi­ca­tions and teaching focus on social and cultural change and housing, access to afford­able and adequate housing for different groups, inno­va­tions in sustain­able housing.
