Michael Sutter

Michael Sutter, born in 1970 near Solothurn, initially studied environmental sciences at ETH Zurich followed by industrial design at ZHdK. After graduating in 2000, he was able to realize many projects at Formpol as a long-term employee. Furthermore he was occasionally active as lecturer and examination expert at ZHdK, HFTG and ETH Sustainability Summer School.

Since 2012, Michael Sutter has been working as a senior designer and senior engineer in the team of innovation management at Helbling Technik AG in Zurich. Thereby he is involved in both, preliminary projects as well as in the development of new products. His design and development tasks lie in the areas of machine and plant construction, tools, medical technology, household and other technical devices such as the collaborative robot P‑Rob 2 from F&P Robotics.

“Integrated industrial design” is being continuously expanded at Helbling Technik AG — the largest service company for product development in Switzerland. Michael Sutter ensures that industrial design is integrated into the engineering services right from the start, and that engineers and designers are able to work hand in hand with high efficiency on complex tasks. The result are innovative, ergonomic products with coherent details and a convincing overall appearance.
