Its ornate forms and unique stained-glass dome make the building, built in 1919 by Rudolf Steiner, a Swiss archi­tec­tural icon and a show­case of organic archi­tec­ture. In addi­tion, the Goetheanum is a place of inspi­ra­tion, educa­tion as well as exchange. Confer­ences, concerts, exhi­bi­tions and theater perfor­mances are held here regu­larly.
