Porzi Areal
Located in the industrial district of Langenthal, the Porzi Areal is a place steeped in history and full of potential for the future. Once home to heavy industry, this striking complex of halls, tracks and facades is being reimagined and repurposed. We are excited to make this unique site the centre of our activities from 2025 onwards.
The next Design Preis Schweiz award ceremony will take place at the Porzi Areal for the very first time. In this raw, authentic architecture, we’re giving Swiss design the stage it deserves – powerful, relevant and grounded.
At the same location, we will also launch our new format: Long Valley Island, an offline destination for the design community. Long Valley Island is our response to the constant overload – a space for retreat, reflection and new connections. For us, it’s clear: the Porzi Areal offers the ideal setting.
