The Long Valley Island is a new format of the Design Preis Schweiz. In the middle of the Porzi site in Langenthal, an offline destination is being created for everyone who wants to slow down for 26 hours and focus on design, enjoyment, and analog exchange.

Friday, 7.11.25

Friday kicks off with an aperitif and the vernissage of Edition 25 in the Ruckstuhl Halls. Afterwards, the award ceremony takes place in the historic Ofenhalle – hosted by Hannes Hug and Knackeboul. The kitchen of V‑ZUG x Zizi Hattab will move into the Ruckstuhl carpet warehouse, where guests will be treated to culinary delights after the award show. The evening continues with celebrations on the Carpet Floor featuring a special act.

Saturday, 8.11.25

On Saturday, the Long Valley Island transforms into a design retreat. Ben Okamoto opens the day in the Ofenhalle with an opening ritual before Hannes Hug welcomes the keynote and talk guests. After a light island lunch, the Pyramid Crew from Berlin brings new forms of networking. The finale is a horizontal concert by Osomo – a floating conclusion to the shared time.

The Long Valley Island is directly accessible thanks to its own train station (Langenthal Süd). Overnight stays are possible right on the site at Hotel Meilenstein (please use the booking code DPR.11.25) or in nearby hotels in Langenthal.
