Long Valley Island is the new time-out haven of the Swiss design scene – with international reach. Two days to go offline, clear your mind, and gather inspiration for new projects. This is where designers, companies, and cultural figures come together – a community that sparks ideas, builds connections, and carries discussions forward. Those who wish can turn it into a staycation and spend the night at a nearby hotel.
Friday, 7.11.25
On Friday, the journey begins with Island Hopping: from the vernissage at the Ruckstuhl Halls, the path leads to the historic Ofenhalle, where the winning projects of Edition 25 will be celebrated – hosted by Hannes Hug. Afterwards, V‑ZUG and Zizi Hattab invite you to a unique food experience in the Teppichlager, before Bibinka and the Babes bring the evening to a close. A program that fosters encounters and creates new connections.
Saturday, 8.11.25
Saturday is dedicated to the Design Retreat – a compact, curated program from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The day begins with arrival and deep breaths: slowing down, checking in on the island, and resetting your focus. International voices provide inspiration, and during the Island Lunch in the Teppichlager, the exchange continues. In the afternoon, Ben Okamoto and his Pyramid Crew host a happening. The finale is the Horizontal Concert by Osomo – intense, communal, and one of a kind. A time-out island for enjoyment, presence, and genuine community.
