Marjan van Aubel graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 2012 and founded the Marjan van Aubel Studio in 2017. The award-winning innovative solar design practice aims for a positive future by integrating solar energy into daily life through the combination of sustainability, design and technology.

The Dutch designer creates lasting change through solar design, integrating solar power seamlessly into our environments such as in buildings and objects. She thus pursues the goal to make solar power more accessible for everyone. Marjan van Aubel has collaborated with global grands such as Cos, Timberland and Swarovski with the aim of accelerating the global energy transition to solar. One of her most notable projects is the solar roof of the Netherlands Pavilion at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Her works are part of the permanent collection of some the world’s most renowned museums such as the MoMA (New York), Victoria and Albert Museum (London), Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), Vitra Design Museum (Weil am Rhein), Bijmans van Beuningen Museum (Rotterdam), The Montreal Museum of Art (Montreal) and National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne).
