Sebastian Marbacher

The Zurich-based designer Sebastian Marbacher completed an apprenticeship as a constructor and then studied industrial design at the ZHdK. Shortly afterwards, in 2013, he set up his own studio, Sebastian Marbacher, and has since been creating products, furniture and spaces that are socially anchored. His reduced, everyday objects and installations — preferably made of natural materials and always characterised by the logic of the manufacturing process — always invite people to come together.

The internationally active designer realises projects for companies, galleries, cultural and public institutions. These include the Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, the Stadtmuseum Aarau, Okro Gallery, Monocle, Fisher Parrish Gallery and many more.
