Serge Ferrari – Stamisol Safe One
Façade membranes are a structural component of curtain-type ventilated façades, as they are often used today for the thermal insulation of buildings. It is a film-like membrane which is located behind the outer facade cladding and protects the actual insulation material against weathering and physical damage. With the newly developed Stamisol Safe One, the company Serge Ferrari AG now presents the first non-flammable, diffusion-open facade membrane. Its membrane construction consists of an elastomer-coated glass fibre fabric, which is waterproof and diffusion-open, as well as having a high degree of tear resistance. The advantages of this façade membrane are first of all the significantly improved fire safety of the buildings equipped with it. In addition, Stamisol Safe One opens up new design possibilities for architects and facade planners. Thus facade cladding with joints up to 50 mm wide and an opening proportion of up to 50% can now be realised.
