alpen-tuch Tuchkollektion
The patent aim of this versatile cloth collection is to translate the images, symbols and myths of the Alpine world into a contemporary textile medium. Alpine cloth presents itself as an ironically tinged collage of motifs, techniques and materials that call up multiple associations, all having a connection with the Alps. Of special significance in this connection is the traditional Alpine technique of silhouette cut-outs, which here likewise receives a new lease of life.
Comments of the nominators
The designer has here engaged with the visual myths of the Alpine world in an original way. This finds a convincing and finely ironic expression in a collection of cloths the design of which is both contemporary and suited to the urban lifestyle.
