“coldblack®” is a new textile treatment technology that works in two ways. On the one hand the treatment reduces the absorption of solar radiation, so that dark textiles above all become very much less hot when exposed to sunlight. On the other, this technology also gives reliable protection against damaging ultra­violet rays. Irrespective of the colour, all textiles treated with “coldblack®” reach an ultraviolet protection factor of at least 30. Thanks to its two-way screening effect, this innovative technology is suitable for a wide range of applications – in areas that include fashion, functional clothing and textiles for outdoors (like sunblinds or covers for garden furniture). coldblack® is a registered trademark of Schoeller Technologies AG, Switzerland (patent pending).
