“Vegetal” is a stackable plastic chair which can be used either indoors or outdoors. The idea of the design – that of making a chair which looks as if it has grown organically – can be clearly seen in the finished product. The asymmetrical structure of the seat of the chair, consisting of branchlike struts, points to the role played by nature in inspiring the design. The choice of colour reinforces this impression. The complex structure of the chair, which has been manufactured from polyamide using injection moulding technique, is the result of a good four years of intensive development work. The chair exploits to the full the potential of the material and makes the best use of today’s production technology resources.
