«Ribcap» is a cross between a cap and a helmet. This textile head covering has been specially developed for people who do not like wearing a helmet, but all the same want to have their heads protected. On the one hand «Ribcap» keeps the head warm and offers the comfort of a classic woollen cap – from which in fact it can hardly be distinguished in optical terms alone. On the other hand, the textile sheath includes protective materials, notable for their lightness and viscoelastic properties. In case of a blow falling on the head, these will have a shock-absorbing effect and so minimise the risk of injury.
