Stand D&G Dolce&Gabbana TIME/JEWELS, Baselworld 2007

2007_Stand_DG_TIME_JEWELS_Baselworld2007_

The outstanding feature of the trade fair stand of «D&G TIME» and «D&G JEWELS», designed by Dordoni Architetti, based in Milan, in accordance with brand image inputs given by Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce, for the Baselworld 2007 trade fair, was a presentation surface installed on the walls and ceiling and consisting of more than 110000 RGB LEDs, on which brightly coloured video animations were shown with a powerful musical accompaniment. The combination of colour and movement gave the impression of a concert stage on which the exhibits, presented in two tinted glass cubes, practically functioned as main characters.

Comments of the nominators

With its use of thousands of LEDs, D&G’s trade fair presentation was plainly intended to be visually overwhelming. In a comparatively conservative field, this presentation sent out a clear signal which made the stand the talk of the trade fair. A convincing example of the three-dimensional realisation of a consistent brand publicity message.
