Cafe Oko

Café Oko in Zurich is housed in a tea and coffee house dating back to the 1930s. The outdated fittings were removed, while wall plaster and floor coverings were carefully stripped to reveal the original concrete and brick. The interplay of brick and concrete, wood and stainless steel creates a contrasting yet inviting atmosphere without loud colors. At its heart stands a stainless-steel bar, handcrafted by a smith in Appenzell, complemented by selected furniture and joinery that transform the café into a place where guests enjoy lingering.
