TreeTex™ by Neumühle

TreeTex_bu_NEUMueHLE_VotingPhoto

TreeTex™ unlocks the untapped potential of Zurich wood for the textile industry, creating a regional circular value chain. Each year, over 1.8 million m³ of Swiss wood remain unused, while most high-quality textile fibers are imported. TreeTex™ transforms local wood and damaged timber into sustainable fibers that are durable, recyclable, and CO₂-binding. The project reduces import dependency, promotes resource efficiency, and opens new material sources. Combining high functionality with aesthetic quality, TreeTex™ demonstrates how circular economy and innovation can work hand in hand.
