MÜLLEX X‑LINE – Waste Separation Systems

Müllex X-LINE is a newly developed container system for household waste that helps users to separate waste and recyclable materials. The system can be installed in pull-out kitchen base cabinets of all standard cabinet widths. A specially developed, patented ratchet facilitates installation, which requires only a few simple steps. Müllex X-LINE provides suitable recycling bins for a wide range of recyclables. The main container is designed for the Swiss 35-liter fee waste bag. In addition, up to seven additional containers can be integrated into the system. The design, which was commissioned to the Estragon design studio, focused on functionality and a straightforward design language: movable bag clamps facilitate the secure clamping of the bags. While the containers are kept anthracite, pearl white carrying handles and bag tighteners emphasize the function of these elements. All handles and grips are easy and safe to grasp as well as easy to clean.

Comments of the nominators

Müllex waste systems are an institution in the Swiss kitchen. They are discreet, unspectacular, unbeatably practical and are constantly being improved. Unobtrusively, they make everyday life easier, while ensuring order and optimal use of space. In fact, it’s almost a shame that they remain completely invisible most of the time!
