Clickbed Tiergerechte Schlafstelle – schnell zusammengesteckt

2003_Clickbed_

Four milled components made from a single (V 100) veneered board can be assembled without any tools to give an animal bed which is ventilated from below, with a space where the animal can crawl out of sight. The bed takes up the same surface area as a standard European pallet. The base, the two identical side walls and the key can be packed flat to a thickness of 16 mm. Low weight and volume mean that carriage and storage charges can be saved. The waterproof glued veneered board can be cut to size using a single computer-controlled CNC surface milling cutter. Ready for production.

Comments of the nominators

Formal clarity, living up to all that is required of an animal-friendly bed, simple low-cost production methods and ideal packaging dimensions make this a really valid alternative to traditional products.
