Couturespitzen Textiler Digital-Ink-Jet-Druck
The aesthetic properties of lace are realised here by means of digital designs, and printed onto long high-tech textile panels, without repeat. An infinite print like this is interesting for haute couture, as a print can be specially developed for a given cut. Even with prêt-à-porter garments the digital print can lead to a new design of the materials. The digital printing of textiles is a future-oriented technology, with great potential for development in the field of fashion and aesthetic objects.
Comments of the nominators
Inkjet printing opens up completely new possibilities for the Fashioner with respect to the design’s alignment to the cut, by contrast with traditional repeat printing where the motifs are unnecessarily reiterated.
