North American Vehicles Der NAV-Stand auf der Paris Motor Show 2002
Two of the eight car models presented here are mounted vertically: a vintage Corvette C1 on a pillar of the hall, and a Jubilee Corvette – emphasised as a highlight by means of a neon installation – in the centre of the rear wall of the stand. The three-section steel wall characterises the automobiles that are jointly presented here through individualised surfaces: Cadillac without any visible fastening fixtures («elegance»), Chevrolet with aggressive edges and fine rivets («racing») and the Hummer with diagonal patterns and massive nuts («archaic»).
Comments of the nominators
Racy, dynamic and powerful: NAV shows succinctly what it is that we love about cars like the Corvette.
