Spirit Edition 2003

2003_Spirit_Edition_2003_

A surprising collection, in view of the astonishing range and variety of the materials used – some traditional ones, but others also that are not often found in carpets. Unusual too is the way in which they have been combined. Only natural raw materials have been used. The collection is characterised both by new colours, which meet the highest aesthetic expectations, and also by the structure of the carpets, which the modern connoisseur can experience sensuously under his feet. The special weaving and tufting techniques mean that the striking designs can be reproduced on an industrial scale.

Comments of the nominators

The decision to think up ways of extending an existing collection has been the occasion of well-grounded developments. The ambition of realising a contemporary modern look has been achieved with the greatest aesthetic consistency.
