Di Mi Tri Stehgarderobe

2003_Di_Mi_Tri_

This standing coat rack, made of turned wooden laths that suggest a propeller, can be unfolded and set up without using any tool by the sole action of its intrinsic tension, so that it will stand without support on its three legs. Jackets and overcoats can be hung in different ways, with or without clothes hangers. Scarves can be thrown over the horizontal, flexible, half transparent, naturally white lamellas, made of synthetic material; the upper lid functions as a receptacle for hats and light bags. The parts of the coat rack are held together with turned aluminium components in high-tech style. When folded together, the frame takes up very little space.

Comments of the nominators

Di Mi Tri convincingly demonstrates how the tension and energy of the material can be used in such a way that the function follows from it.
