No excuses – Lanur

The natural cosmetics line «Lanur» is vegan and committed to the cradle-to-cradle principle. This means that not only all ingredients come from nature, but also the packaging is taken back and recycled by the company. Most of the certified raw materials come from small-scale farming, which is also a contribution to the protection of local agriculture and a commitment to socially fair production. Developed and produced in Switzerland. The design is simple and has a striking color scheme. Lifestyle marketing is largely dispensed with.

Comments of the jury

The project challenges the status quo of the cosmetics industry in two ways: On the one hand, the label offers recyclable products and thus addresses aspects in the beauty industry that are hardly considered. The packaging is made of recyclable material and there is a recycling process for the empty crème cans. At the same time, the usual seductive branding is dispensed with. Instead, the origin and sustainability of the various ingredients are made transparent. Lanur’s products come across as particularly reduced – the bright and calm appearance has a refreshing effect and is cleverly reduced. The project illustrates that even in saturated markets and with powerful competitors, there are always opportunities and scope for new thinking.
