On Labs, Zürich Campus
The interior design of On’s headquarters was an interplay between the company‘s managers and the architects Spillmann Echsle + Specific Generic. The starting point was to spatially express the basic idea of movement, light-footedness, agility in the 17-storey office building. The metaphor of the mountain world is also central and is reflected in various spatial elements. Whether materials, objects or details: everything is carefully curated in the building.
Comments of the jury
The large-scale project boasts avant-garde spatial designs that have a fascinating appeal. A contemporary reference with charisma beyond the country’s borders has thus been created. The rooms shine in particular thanks to the interdisciplinary collaboration between architects, interior designers and stylists in a wide variety of zones with many different uses, without neglecting overarching contexts. The complexity that arises from the size of the project and the large number of participants was coordinated in an exemplary manner by the group of design players and driven to a manifold result that is of impressive quality down to the smallest details.
